All first, second and third year fellows compete in a poster contest at the annual DOE NNSA SSGF conference. Poster sessions offer a unique opportunity to communicate science to diverse audiences — from colleagues and scientists representing different fields to lay persons and the press.
DOE NNSA SSGF Essay Contest
The annual DOE NNSA SSGF Essay Contest encourages improved communication between scientists and non-expert audiences regarding the value of stewardship science fields to society. The competition is open to all fellows and alumni, and winners are announced at the program's annual conference.
